Questions
Do listeners need to pay or sign up?
No. Listeners can listen for free, in any language, on web or in the iOS app — with or without an account. Accounts are optional and only unlock saving sermons and notifications.
What counts as a Monthly Active Listener (MAL)?
A unique person (signed-in or anonymous) who joined any of your live or archived sermons in a calendar month. Repeated joins don't double-count. We dedupe with a privacy-preserving hash so we never store raw device IDs.
What happens if we exceed our listener limit?
Service does not break — listeners keep listening. We charge the small per-listener overage rate on your next invoice. You can set a monthly spend cap in the dashboard if you'd rather throttle than be surprised.
Can I add languages mid-month?
Yes. On Growth and Scale, extra languages above your tier are billed at the per-language rate, prorated to the day. On Starter, adding more than 2 languages bumps you to Growth.
Is there a setup fee or contract?
No setup fee. No annual contract — month-to-month is the default, cancel anytime. Annual prepay saves ~17%.
Do you offer discounts for non-profits or smaller churches?
Every plan includes a generous trial. We also have a 50% non-profit discount on Starter and Growth for verified 501(c)(3)s and international equivalents. Email hello@hearhim.live.
